National Coach - Men’s Artistic Gymnastics

37 hours per week

Salary range £37,299 to £39,824 per annum( dependant upon experience)

31 days annual leave including Company Days, + Bank Holidays + 2 wellbeing days a year + weekly exercise and wellbeing hours

Dual based role with home working and based out of Lilleshall Head Office, near Newport, Shropshire, providing national coverage in line with the needs of the relevant work programme, flexible in terms of working patterns to meet the needs of the role

The Role

This is a critical coaching role supporting the Head National Coach (HNC) and the World Class Programme (WCP) to deliver success, that will see medals at major competitions, including the Olympic Games, and be won as an intended consequence of our Collective Accountability approach that is people-centred, performance-focused and empowering for coaches, gymnasts and support staff alike.

The National Coach is expected to work with Great Britain squads, with a focus on supporting gymnasts who are targeted for success in the Brisbane 2032 Olympic cycle as well as those at various stages of the pathway. They are required to work collaboratively with a wide range of gymnasts, primary coaches, national coaches (across disciplines) and all support staff working with the national programmes.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

1. Deliver National Squad activities in line with the relevant Performance Plan, as directed by the HNC.

Typical Activities:

· Plan and deliver National Squad training sessions that create an appropriate training environment and motivational climate to achieve optimum results at international levels.

· Work collaboratively with Primary Coaches to ensure that National & Club training are aligned and meet the needs of the programme and individual Gymnasts Plan.

· Attend appropriate performance meetings, as directed by the HNC, ensuring any requested documentation is completed in a timely manner.

· Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with the Performance Support Team (PST), to provide an integrated service of support to gymnasts and primary coaches.

· Attend competitions (domestic & international), club visits, conferences/symposiums as required/directed by t the HNC

Success Measures:

· Evidence of achievement/contribution to the programme’s Performance Plan
